Zhao Yue shared with Dr. Raimund Rösch the story of the founding team's success in winning two consecutive RoboCup competitions and founding SEER Robotics. In line with RoboCup's vision to promote the development of mobile robots around the world, SEER was born in the midst of the wave of smart manufacturing in China, and its fully self-developed SRC-3000FS and SRC-2000, the world's first safety controller, have injected great energy into the upgrading of smart factories in domestic and international industries.

Since the first cooperation between Volkswagen FAW Engine and SEER Robotics in 2021, the relationship has become increasingly close. Based on SRC controller, standard product AMR and the complete services provided by the joint integrator, the entire plant of Volkswagen FAW Engine has continued to improve in terms of intelligence and digitalisation, and efficiency has continued to rise.

Then, in the presence of leaders and guests from both sides, the representatives from both sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Dr. Raimund Rösch, General Manager of Volkswagen FAW Engine, and Mr. Yu Chengdong, Head of Domestic Business of SEER Robotics, gave their outlook on the future cooperation between the two companies.

Yu Chengdong firstly welcomed Dr. Raimund Rösch and his delegation on behalf of SEER Robotics and expressed his gratitude to Volkswagen FAW Engine for their recognition of SEER's SRC controller solution.

He said that the SRC controller has already formed a complete product line, the SRC-2000 is more comprehensive, more integrated and suitable for more general scenarios of AMR manufacturing. It is also the only domestic controller that has passed the SGS TÜV SAAR functional safety certification, opening the door to the global market for domestic controllers.

For the future, Yu Chengdong stressed that SEER will still adhere to the original intention, continuously improve the product performance, enhance the product competitiveness of the controller, help VW FAW engine to manufacture AMR more conveniently, further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cooperation between the two sides, and jointly achieve new development and new leaps.

Dr. Raimund Rösch said that the stability and value of the SRC controllers in the industry are obvious to all, which is why we continue to choose SEER. The strategic cooperation between the two parties has deepened the partnership and we look forward to using this strategic cooperation as a new starting point to fully exploit our respective strengths and promote mutual development.

Based on the core technology of mobile robot development, SEER continues to build industry-leading products with the SRC controller as its "fist product", providing support and convenience for integrators, vehicle builders and partners to manufacture AMR independently, and enabling more industries to upgrade their intelligent logistics.

Volkswagen FAW engines

Volkswagen FAW Engine (Dalian) Co., Ltd. is a Sino-German joint venture between Volkswagen Group and China FAW, mainly producing the advanced turbocharged direct injection petrol engines of the Volkswagen Group, namely the EA888 series engines, with 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre inline 4-valve turbocharged direct injection (TSI) engines. As the most advanced engine manufacturer in China, its engine products will not only be equipped with domestic models but will also be exported to international markets.

Since its establishment, Volkswagen FAW Engine has always adhered to the 12-word philosophy of [Innovation, Quality, Service, Saving, Dedication and Gratitude], and in line with the business and sales philosophy of [Essence-based, Professional and Persistent, Striving for Excellence] to absorb new ideas, strictly control the quality gate, and provide comprehensive service tracking to insist on making high-quality products.

SEER Robotics

SEER was founded by a team of RoboCup champions and is a product portfolio provider with a core of intelligent controllers and digital software. Headquartered in Shanghai, the company has a global presence in over 20 countries and regions.

With the world's leading technology and concepts, SEER's product portfolio includes mobile robot controllers, mobile robots and related digital software to help end-use factories to become intelligent and digital.

Guided by the brand values of "Benefit People, Achieve Excellence, Be Entrepreneurial, Pursue Excellence", SRC has helped 400+ integrators and robotics manufacturers to manufacture AMRs in-house, covering the semiconductor, 3C, lithium-ion, photovoltaic, automotive parts, PCB, textile and medical industries.

The SRC-3000FS is the latest safety controller developed by SEER, a controller that integrates navigation and functional safety, providing basic functions such as map building, positioning and navigation for mobile robots, as well as advanced functions such as automatic charging and 3D obstacle avoidance. This means that AGV/AMR devices will no longer require a safety PLC, allowing not only a lower overall cost for the mobile robot, but also a higher level of internal integration, making space compact and electrical connections simpler.

The universal mobile robot controller SRC-2000 is divided into two models depending on the application scenario:

SRC-2000-F(S): a universal laser SLAM navigation controller dedicated to the field of intelligent forklift trucks, supporting a single tiller wheel chassis model and allowing the construction of all types of intelligent forklift robots such as handlers, stackers, counterweights and three-way forks. It can support Curtis and Zapi forklift drivers to realize linear mechanism motion such as fork up and down, front and back, left and right, rotation, etc. The linear motor motion control can support script programming.

SRC-2000-I(S): A universal laser SLAM navigation controller designed for mobile robots (AMR), supporting a wide range of chassis models beyond the single tiller wheel, allowing the construction of all types of mobile robots. It can support motor models such as jacking, roller, submerged traction and various linear mechanisms. The entire robot can be controlled by a single controller, and the linear motor motion control can support script programming. The product offers a wide range of interfaces for accessing various sensor devices, allowing advanced functions such as 3D obstacle avoidance, cage shelf recognition and 2D code positioning.
